The Blue Ridge Parkway is a scenic byway accessible from my hometown of Floyd, Virginia. There is very little light pollution, and parking alongside the road is generally encouraged, so it is ideal for nighttime photography. Having said that, a couple police officers did stop while I was shooting to make sure I wasn't a domestic terrorist.
I was taking 30-second exposures when I saw a school bus approaching. I decided to go with it, so it was the school bus that created those streaks of light you see along the road. You can also see a vague shadow in the grass of a weirdo standing next to a tripod.
Shot with a Rokinon 14mm f/2.8 at ISO 800 on a Sony a7II, you nerds.
What a mezmerazing capture, well done!
Thank you sir.
Awesome blend of landscape, milky way and long exposure trails!
Thanks mang.
