Columbia River Gorge (1).jpg

As a nature lover, one of my favorite things to capture is waterfalls. It's why I love places like the Columbia River Gorge and the surrounding area -- soooo many waterfalls, surrounded by lush greenery!

One place I never miss when visiting Oregon is Multnomah Falls, and I almost always take the hike up to see Little Multnomah.

A lesser known waterfall that I absolutely love is Lucia Falls.

I always enjoy Wahkeena Falls as well.

And of course there's always Starvation Creek Falls.

And Horseshoe Creek Falls.

Sometimes I even find waterfalls I don't have the names for.

Such lovely photos..

@laurabellamy, i love waterfall as well especially the sound of the water. I used to picnic in waterfall in my hometown when i was a kid. The atmosphere was cold and fresh.

What a beautiful photos you took and it shown the waterfall nicely. You can make this into postcard. It really nice. The green color with the white waterfall compliment each other and standout the beauty of the waterfall.

beautiful waterfalls @lautabellamy the photos say everything I liked all the pictures of the waterfalls but the one that I liked more Wahkeena Falls, as there are hidden waterfalls that are very beautiful thanks for sharing @neymath10

Thank you very much for the compliment!

@laurabellamy The waterfalls represent joy and happiness and relax our minds with their incomparable beauty. The musical sound of the water as it caresses the rocks and finishes its course is sensational and generates great passion. I love that the water of a waterfall splashes my skin and wet my hair. The green of the plants around the waterfalls is imprecise. Your perfect photos clearly show us the unique magic of the waterfalls. I liked all the shots. Enjoy a great day. A big greeting.

That is so kind of you, thank you!

WOW, thank you so much, I'm honored!

Nicely done!

There is something so calming about running water. Were these all taken on long exposure?

Yes, they were. And I agree, very calming indeed.

I can only describe this with just one word: Gaya. such beauty is the work of a higher power. nature demonstrating that the land belongs to her and in the process she lets us see how beautiful her domain is.

Thank you for sharing these beautiful pictures. The serenity and purity that generate is unique.

Hello laurabellamy, beautiful waterfalls that relax when looking at them carefully and feel the water fall uniformly with that pleasant sound to our ears. The green color of the surrounding vegetation is charming and pleasant. It is very beautiful to sit and enjoy your beautiful photos imagining to be in that charming and cozy place with imprecionantes waterfalls. Beautiful flowers of the first photos, I love their color. Have a great day.

I love waterfalls too and these are just fascinating! And the lush greenery around it just makes it more magical...

Nature can surprise us. I liked your pictures. These waterfalls are so diverse and each of them looks unique. Water always fascinates and attracts our eyes and you can admire such beauty for a long time. You managed to convey to us all the beauty of these amazing places. I especially liked "Wahkeena Falls". I have been to just two in my country and i don't believe i have your skills on camera to reproduce something similar to this.

I've captured a number of waterfalls, not sure quite how many. This is just a small handful, though.

So beautiful Laura!
I love them all!
Did you also bath on those waterfalls?
I guess they're too cold.
And you took those photos alone?

Yes, these photos are all mine. Sometimes I have been known to actually get IN the water to photograph them. ;-)

Oh that's great!
I'd love seeing you photographs in the waterfalls.
And its cool!
Its nice to live near the waterfalls.

Thank you for taking us to Columbia River Gorge, the place is almost like the living area of Elves, moos covered trees and stumps, little rivers and waterfalls. I believe this is wonderful place for hiking to recharge the energy after being a week of working in city, Would be also nice place for boy scouts, at least in our area they usually go for summer camps for few days. The quality of photographs absolutely amazing like for the calendar!

howdy there laurabellamy! Oh my gosh I love waterfalls and these here are magnificent! wow..it's sounds like you get to come hear often? This is such a wonderful post, the photos are stunning!
