One of my favourite sights of Japan, you ask? Today, let me take you to the so-called Jigokudani Monkey Park, located in the forests of the Jigokudani valley in Yamanouchi, not far from the onsen towns of Shibu and Yudanaka. Jigokudani can be translated as "Hell's Valley" due to the steep cliffs and hot water steaming out from the earth's surface.
This park offers visitors the unique experience of seeing wild Snow Monkeys (Japanese Macaques) bathing and relaxing in a natural hot spring. Go there during winter (December-March, best in January/February) and the bathing monkeys become incredibly photogenic and entertaining. I have shot some great photos during my visit and would love to share with you today. Look at those faces! :-) I love monkeys because they seem so close to us humans.

This shows the beauty of nature but please what is the name of this animal. I havr not seen it before or heard it before.
Hi, it's in the article: Japanese Macaques :)
that's a very good photo ,, if I may know, what do they eat when they play in the snow?
The snow monkeys at Jigokudani are fed daily by the park rangers. This can be quite a lot actually, anything from apples to soy beans.
