Voting power goes down the more you vote and recharges at a fixed speed (20% a day I think?). Don't worry about it for a long time - your vote isn't worth anything when you start anyway, so you might as well go crazy and upvote anything you like - it may not carry monetary weight yet, but people will still see and appreciate the gesture.
