I can’t say I’ve been to many cities in the United States. But living in NYC for the majority of my life - visiting other cities is underwhelming.
But I absolutely loved Seattle! The history, diversity, food, an awesome skyline and connecting with nature is only a quick drive way.
However the homelessness issue there is alarming. I can try to emphasize how crazy it is, or show you videos - but you have to see it for yourself.
Seattle is also a bit too liberal which has led to the situation they’re currently in.
Domestic terrorists have taken over parts of the city and have created an “autonomous zone”. Police have abandoned precincts and things are going down hill fast.
It’s a shame as I really love Seattle and realistically there’s not much you or I can do other than the proverbial “thoughts and prayers”.

It's difficult to comprehend what this must be like for someone who doesn't live there. I wonder if there's a palatable solution. I don't watch the news so have to ask, is the situation, the abandonment of precincts due to the recent troubles elsewhere?
