in #photofeed3 years ago

Hi There!

If You haven't seen the first part - start from that one! -> https://peakd.com/photofeed/@photovisions/my-photo-summary-of-2021-part-1-jan-jun

Word of Introduction:

2021 was my last year in Norway, at the beginning of the year, we didn't expect that it will be the last one and in December we will be back in Poland already.

Special year... hard one, the year of many changes and decisions...

It was the year when I focused my creative work not only on photography but I also started to focus more on my yt channel - to create something nice to watch not only for others but in the first place - for myself.

I was trying to visit many different places to gather photo and video material. It was hard time for me as I didn't organize any Photographic Workshops - the reason is obvious - global traveling situation made this kind of activities hard for many.

What else - it was hard year for me personally as well - I struggle a lot with myself, my situation, my plans, my needs... The final decision of coming back to Poland was something which gave me some hope to change many things, to start some new ones, to try different stuff.

Below I will share just 2 shots from each month which represents the best photographic experiences I got last year.

I hope You will enjoy this summary :).

July

Continuing - July was great! In the beginning, I was able to make a 2-day trip to visit the highest Norwegian waterfall - Mardalsfossen. It was the summer season so the falls were running in full power. Amazing sight! I experienced some extreme weather conditions and beautiful sunset at the end of the day, spending the night in my car high in the mountains...

In the second half of the month I managed to go for a long trip, in total 4 days, to one of the most beautiful areas in middle Norway - Jostedalsbreen National Park, amazing area around Stryn, beautiful glacial lakes and also famous Trollveggen road. It was great trip, quite busy as I made a lot of km but I had one "free" day, when I used my inflatable kayak and was swimming on magical Lovatnet lake...

August

This month's trip was epic - it was the longest one - 6 days living in my SUV-mini-camper, but also it was different, because this time I spent most of the time together with my good friends - Johnny Wild and Tomek.
It wasn't the best one in a photographic way, but very memorable because of the people I have been with and beautiful areas of Northern Norway I explored for the first time.

Hard to describe all the amazing situations we had and places we stayed and visited - but it was magical time. It was almost end of the summer season, so there wasn't many people there, we enjoyed the quiet, pure, beautiful scandinavian nature, making a bon fire every night, camping, hiking... And I witnessed the first Northern Lights this season.
Wish to organize such trip again in the future! ... but it can be difficult now.

September

September is the most beautiful, colorful month in Norway - the autumn begin to change the landscape in a magical way.

It is sometimes just a matter of 2-3 weeks when all the greens changing color to yellow, orange, red and all other rusty shades...

It is also the month perfect for picking mushrooms, wild berries, enjoying the last warm sun light and being outdoor almost completely alone - as there is no more big touristic traffic even in the famous spots and areas.

Definitely the best time of the year!

In this month I was able to make a nice 1-day trip to Skarvan og Roltdalen National Park, where I photographed mountain forests and streams in a beautiful autumnal look.

The end of the best autumnal conditions I caught in my beloved location near Sylan mountains - Stuggudalen, where I spent a night in a car and photographed amazing sunrise light in the morning... I won't even mention the reindeers, smell of autumnal air, taste of late autumn berries, long hikes among the wilds...

October

In October I didn't travel much - bad weather conditions and the end of amazing autumnal colors were not very inspiring...

But I knew it is the last chance to go somewhere before the first snow and of course - before the crazy moving out times starts...

For my last trip I picked the place which is very special for me - Innerdalen valley in Trollheimen mountains.
It was one of the first amazing places I visited after buying my first car in Norway... and it become the last one before my final departure out of Norway.

Very beautiful, but also very sad for me... the conditions were really nice - showed the true nature of late autumn in the mountains. Tops were already covered with fresh snow, valleys still had a bit of autumnal rust.

The place is amazing, the trip was successful, but I came back home with a big emptiness in my heart because I knew it was my last time out there, not knowing when and if I will have a chance to come back there...

November

November was the month without any longer trips... I visited some spots around the Jonsvatnet lake and I watched some amazing sunset skies.

It was the last month of "normal life". In the second part of the month, my wife and son came back to Poland and I begun to organize our moving out...

As You probably know - in December I was in Poland already, so these are the two final images I have to share with You.

SUMMARY

Was it a good year in a photographic point of view - I think so! It was definitely great year from a traveling point of view!

I tried to prepare my SUV car to become a small camper where I can spend a couple of nights during my traveling - and this experiment was more than success!
It is comfortable, enough space for one person with all the gear, clothes, extra stuff... I still don't have any solution for power management, but using my 12V car loader was enough to load the batteries of the camera, flashlight and power bank.
Not enough though to use my laptop and work on the photos or videos during the trip.

Idea of living in this small car is great but still need some upgrades.

OK Guys - thanks for being with me during this summary of 2021 - hope You enjoyed reading and watching the selection of shots.

I hope my moving out of Norway won't reflect in a negative way to my passion, photography, traveling, inspirations and plans.

Thanks again and Until The Next One!
