Hi Friends!
Continuation of our visit in Rago National Park in Northern Norway...
You can read more details in my previous post here: https://peakd.com/photofeed/@photovisions/norway24-13-destination-rago-national-park
Like I mentioned in my last post, I stayed on the good photographic spot to wait for better light conditions and to search for more interesting motives for my photography.
I was wandering around the location and found this small mountain creek flowing down the steep hill which created few small waterfalls. Such a motives are always good to use as a foreground for our compositions so I worked out few shots there...
As I stayed on the top few more hours I finally got a few spots of sun light!
I knew I have only few minutes before it will go away so I had to use all of my skills and speed to capture it.
I wanted to have a perfect shot with a waterfall and the valley below with meandring river, lighted up by sun beams... but it wasn't perfect.
The clouds were moving fast and the conditions were changing from shot to shot...
Few vistas You can see below:
I used some more time to find interesting elements and to create panoramic images, which shows better the whole area of the Park. It was huge and even with my wide lens 16mm it was hard to capture all of what I saw before me.
This place is fantastic! It has a lot to offer both for hikers and for photographers.
It is not easy way up there - around 5 km through muddy, swampy and rocky areas, but is totally worth all the effort.
The wide valley below the mountains is covered by dense forest and other vegetation.
River is meandring in a crazy way. This kind of environment reminds me jungle area - something like Arctic Jungle I can say :).
I had about an hour with better light before a really heavy rain came and made me totally wet.
It was the moment to call it a day and headed back to the car, another 5 km through swamps, mud and rocks, then steep path through the forest down the mountain.
This short, one day visit in Rago National Park was a great adventure. One of the best places in Norway I have visited.
Wish to go back there in different seasons and conditions. It is so much more to explore and photograph there...
Hope You liked the images and stay tuned for more stories and galleries from this roadtrip :)
