Hi Friends!
Going down the long road from the top of Sognefjellsvegen (shots in previous post) we finally reached the first fjord on our way - Lustrafjorden.
After many days of rain all the waterfalls falling down from the mountains looked powerful.
Landscape around the fjords is very dramatic there, from the level of the sea, mountains are rising high above 1500m.
The only place suitable for settlements are mountain valleys and narrow line among the fjords shore.
This is really very specific place for a living... specific but beautiful.
Temperature changed a lot after passing Sognefjell mountain - it was warmer and the air was full of moist and freshness of the sea.
Traveling through Norway is like a traveling through different "bioms" in some kind of game (if You are a gamer - You know the biome idea right? ;)
On our way around the different fjords in the area we watched the landscape mostly from our car. It was raining often, the forests were covered by fog and steam, wish we had more time and a bit better weather on our way to enjoy this location more.
Next part of our trip was to visit Bøyabreen Glacier viewpoint. Nice location when the glacier's tongue is going down, in the past, it was covering all the valley, right now is quite high above the glacial lake below...
I took a few very fast shots because it started to rain a lot!
We had to run back to the car to avoid getting totally wet.
That day we had enough of rain.
Instead of looking for a place to set a tent - we had to look for a cabin in a camping to survive such weather.
We found amazing cabin by my favorite lake - Lovatnet in Jostedalsbreen National Park - this I will show You next time :).
Stay tuned!

Stunning landscapes; absolutely love the photo with the big mountains and the mist at the base!
