Today's location brought us back to Kalamazoo, Michigan. This is an old hospital was really cool to explore, I'm not sure on the reason it was shut down most likely it just got old and worn out over the years, all the decay was perfect for my shoot and made for some interesting shots. This place was massive and I don't think I covered 3 quarters of it to be honest, A lot of the rooms were to dark so I will have to do another visit to this one to be able to take it all in! about 5 hours wrapped up in shooting this place so far and another 4 or 5 to go on the next trip. This place was pretty dank had to bust out the respirator for this one it was pretty dusty and who knows what kinda stuff was floating around this place lol It was creepy here to say the least, there are a lot of stories of this place being haunted, even people claiming to hear voices or see people in the infirmary. Let's just say I'm glad my visit was during the day!
Non the less it was still pretty scary to explore. I did have a buddy with me on this trip so that was a little better although we did separate most of the time. And before you ask No I didn't hear or see anything out of the ordinary on our adventure through this place. The basement was specially scary, that's where the cremations happened of the bodies of people who died in the hospital. YIKES!
Okay, Enough talking let's dive into the photos!
Thank you all for stopping by and checking out this small collection, Overall this was one of my all time favorite locations from this project, the creepiness factor was over the top and the photogenic walls made for some fun shots! That ends #9 of the Abandoned Michigan project, I hope you enjoyed some of the shots I captured, I know I had a blast shooting them. Let me know what you think of this collection in the comments below, What one was your favorite ? As always ladies and gents STEEM ON!!
Decaying in style :) Superb session!
Thank you @samprock!
Ugly as hell..great pictures. There is something in scary places...hospitals are the worst I think. You said that you and your buddy were separated...looks like a perfect scene for a horror movie...people always split :D
haha funny you say that, That's what I said to her when we split up. I was like this is exactly how scary movies begin! haha Thank's for the compliments!
It's most def an eyesore that's for sure although I do find a certain beauty in decay like this. I'm weird like that I guess haha
