This photo was shot in the Summer. I do come to Mongolia in winter too though. Each February I travel with a family on their spring migration across the Altai. It's 150km in 5 days on foot. Have done it for the last 5 years. You should give the West a try. I can't recommend it enough. The Kazakhs are really lovely people.

That migration trip sounds absolutely awesome. My wife's father is actually originally from the Western part of Mongolia (Khovd Aimag), but she's never had the opportunity to see that part of the country. So it's definitely on our to-see list while we're in Mongolia. Still don't know yet if we're going to fly there or make a long road trip out of it, though. As you well know, the rural roads here are.... interesting. ;)
Anyway, if you have to spend any significant time in UB the next time you visit, feel free to fire off a message to me and we can hang out over a beer. Living here I don't really get the chance to meet fellow Steem creators and users in person.
I'm pretty sure a UB steem meet up would consist of 2 people. But hey, a journey of a thousand miles begins with a step in the right direction !
