Wow!! Absolutely gorgeous! Must have been so neat for you to witness that in person. Lol, actually, Iceland fascinates me because Vikings discovered it!

Also though, I think it is definitely interesting and valuable to know you lit the ice with a flashlight. Because I am currently taking a Digital Photography course, and was just learning about light sources in night photography. So it's interesting to see how you applied that here. :)

Yes, a flashlight is an invaluable tool for lighting at night - it's more versatile than a simple flash. It's good to have both a throwing (long beam) and a flooding (wide beam, doesn't shine so far) flashlight - between the two you can do a lot!
