ABOUT THE PHOTO

Here is one of my shots on Aurlandsfjellet, a picturesque mountain road between Aurland and Lærdal in Norway. I found this spot with piles of stones (cairns) nearby our wild campsite. I have tried to edit this shot several times, but I didn't come up with something interesting. Please help me to find the right mood/colors/composition.

Interesting painterly effect!

Yeah.. I was looking for something a little different and this fit the bill. it's painting like but not enough to take about the details from the photo : )

Right. But you can also check the posts from the other photostars (there are the links to their accounts in the post) and try to win more! Good luck!

The picture is nice

Fixit.jpg

Compositionally I focused on making the left most cairn and the sun the subjects of the photo. I compressed the overall height of the photo to create an imbalance between the left most cairn and the sun. I tried to give the feeling of the cairn and the sun being in conversation with each other.

Overall I warmed up the photo. Allowing the conversation between the cairn and the sun be one of a warm "hello" to each other. Even the snow now has a warm feeling to it.

I lightened up the foreground to give the cairns more presense in the photo. I made the left most cairn "pop" more in the photo to show it embracing the light of the sun. You can start to see the personality of the leftmost cairn starting to come out in its detail.

This is a truly magnificent landscape - I'd love to visit someday, it's not that far from my home, but it has never come of it :-)

I have not touched your composition except for some straightening. I do believe your picture shows enough snow for people to know it's a cool place - which is why I was unafraid to actually make it way more warm without confusing people too much.

The sun flare is the most eye-catching part in the photograph so that's the part I wanted to emphasize - basically show how that sun influences the landscape. Since the warmth needs to be balanced I tried to keep some blue in the sky too - I had my edit done but right before uploading I decided to bring back a bit of blue in the picture so it sort of brings back winter in the picture again :-)

Cheers!

In the rebound...

Screen Shot 2018-03-10 at 20.09.18.jpeg

Haha! That was funny )

I like these barren landscapes. And those cairns are beautiful.
I did some straightening of the image; didn't want to make it too red, too warm. I think the left cairn and the sun should get the emphasis. I cropped the image a little bit, and did some dodging/burning:

Presentación1steemit.jpg

sadly this week i did not have the time to tackle #fixitfriday as it deserves but i still wanted to participate so i used my own presets
2016-06-13 22-02-53 - _DSC3876.jpg

You know, somehow your preset worked just fine in this case. The composition looks well balanced, the light is good and the sunburst is cleaner. Congrats! You are the winner!

Great shot and awesome light, I just bring up some details in the foreground trying to create artefacts in the sky.

This is my edit. Grate shot @dmytrokorol!
Generally I don't like very much edited pictures. I prefer the little details. ^^
If I where there, I'm not shure if i mirrord it. But it seems better to me. The Idea to mirror it, i saw at the scrolling through. Sorry @lucevic.

Greetings @ml3000

First of all, great photo! The sunburst is pretty good for that little kit lens.
I just went with my usual edit, not trying to get too fancy.

Late but here is my edit!!!! Since everyone focused on the flare I focused a bit on the rocks, just to do something different.
