It’s just such a rare moment when everything lives up exactly to your expectations.

It’s happened to me too many times this year to be comfortable.

It’s bad enough that the Disneyland trip was amazing. Everything went according to plan every single day, everyone was in a good mood always, everyone had fun.

Then going home for Christmas and my friend gives birth the day I leave, promising she’d have the baby out by noon (and she only missed by like half an hour, props to her).

Then I go to Portland this weekend, and of course I’m not expecting Disneyland, but even though its pouring everyone is still in a good mood, and every restaurant had to mention how organic, grass fed, free range, their food was, cracking me up with their hand patted local tortillas.

It’s starting to creep me out how well things are going.

It’s like the universe is trying to lull me into a false sense of security. Like, β€˜Yeah, expect great things. You’re life will be fantastic.’ And I’ll be like β€˜Yeah, universe, I trust you! Shit’s gonna be grand!’

Then I’ll like, I dunno, get alcohol poisoning on my 21st birthday.
