i get the feeling you prefer noodles to rice.
when i eat chinese food, i prefer to have rice.
the only exception i make is when i have ramen, but that's japanese.

I think it's a habit because my parents cook rice mainly. So, I prefer a different variety when I eat outside.
I still do have rice when I eat out but I prefer some difference day to day
