I've enjoyed going out for walks a lot more recently. It feels like it helps clear my head and think about the more important things in life for a while. Not to mention its also been helping with my sleep, and more importantly being able to fall asleep which has proven to be the hardest part.
Although many of the problems we are facing in the world today are not any I personally can have an impact on, I am hopeful that the new innovation we know as Blockchain will help better it in the future, though. It will at least bring more balance to the economic situation we are in and combined with automation I believe it will start to reward humans more for being themselves, creative, innovative and looking more into how to make things better for the next generations.
I don't personally think that we should be too thankful about the past generations and what they have done for "us". I keep seeing how greed, hunger for power and selfishness have impacted Earth in the last decades and it hasn't been showing great signs to its health. The race for technology and innovation powered by money has been a mix of bad and good, but I am hopeful that it will become a lot better with the advantages this new innovation brings, which by many has been called "the new internet". With the rise of Bitcoin and the countless other projects who are using Satoshi Nakamoto's innovation to further evolve and better it I believe we are getting closer and closer to bringing more balance to this world and I am looking forward to what the future holds within it.
Anyway, toning down on the deep and abstract thoughts I wanted to share some new photos I took today of my hometown.
I noticed this weird shape and contrast in the clouds today and had to snap a photo of it.
Not really sure what it is, maybe someone has more info on it in the comments. Is it new clouds forming? There is another photo of it later.
I really do hope blockchain technology can help us improve. I agree with you, greed and corruption is slowing if not shutting down our evolution. Because of greed we cannot progress. Our entire economical system is based on regression. For example, instead of building cars that will not need petroleum to run, we continue building cars that run on regular gas because the oil industry wants to continue selling it's Oil so they can continue getting fat.
Next, instead of building durable cars that will not break often (for example, use gold on sensors and use quality material so that things don't break easy and burn out) they build crappy cars with cheap material so that way they can break after 100,000 miles and they can sell more of their cars and there will also be work for mechanics... So there will be "more jobs".
Another example is the pharmaceutical industry and medical industry, instead of curing people we only suppress the symptoms just enough to relieve the pain so you can come back and continue buying it but not enough to cure you because if it did cure you then you will not need to buy it anymore and they will go out of business.
And, another example is the food industry, our food and water is contaminated with all kinds of poisonous chemicals. We eat fake food that is harmful to us. Again, as we know, all this is because a few individuals who want to profit and sit around and do nothing while the rest of the people suffer.
Our politicians are bought by these big corporations to serve their agenda and interests and the entire political system is corrupt to support the greedy corporations (which are run by a few greedy and wealthy individuals) and not the greater good of the human race.
These are only some examples, our entire system is built like that and as you can see it is not built to progress. We are just like parasites leeching on the host (our planet) and then moving on to some other host. This is a primitive way of thinking and doing things. Our civilization will self destruct if we continue this way...
Nice pics indeed, this one was my favorite :

But do not understand the electric wire in this pic :D
Hahah, I didn't even lay notice to the wire, guess they didn't find a way around the boulder. xD
Hi @acidyo I've written an article about you, check it out, if you can? thanks.

Liked the one with the street a lot too. The composition is almost like the one of a renaissance painting with the lines emphasizing the (back then newly discovered) perspective.
For the wire, my guess would be, that its supposed to keep the rock from rolling down ;-)
You live in a place with great scenery :O
Were the photos edited though? All I have is an empty beach :)
Awesome photography, I like the 5th one the most. Also, clouds are all over the place. I love taking photos of them too. Cheers!
Great pictures @acidyo!
Good to hear that the walks help with the sleep at night.
I am used to going to bed late and sometimes it can be annoying.
Of course that any kind of physical exercise through the day helps a lot, also yoga or meditation. I like to do some breathing exercises before bedtime , with some relaxing music in the background.
Before leaving... a sunset pic from the other day. Autumn is here and with it its amazing colors!
Hava a good day!
Finland is the place to be :) i love this land and the nature, i was there four times
Great shot!
What a beautiful day it is outside! I think your thoughts on the past generation and their greed is spot on. It definitely seems like blockchain technology has the possibility of leveling the playing field and allowing innovators to bring new ideas to the world!
The new internet is going to change the world.
Wise words my friend, and glad you're feeling better with the sleep! It's so important spending at least a little time out side every day.
Beautiful pics too! I like the ones of the nature, with the big boulder. :)
Really stunning photos! Agreed, taking long walks has helped me so much with clearing my head, getting a better outlook on things, and sleeping. I find that because I spend so much time on a computer, it is so important to get out, get some space and look around at things daily. I usually go for walks with my pups, or even sometimes I go running with them. Really lovely post. Were these photos taken in Finland? Whereabouts?
@aggroed said i should come check this post out and I was pleasantly surprised ... okay not really surprised, you take some nice pics, you get some great angles. Muchos Luv!
Thanks :3
Wow! You truly captured beauty in all your shots.
What a wonderful area to go on walks. It seems so peaceful.
I love taking walks. I live in Downtown Sacramento, so its nice to walk to my favorite coffee shop and restaurants.
It is definitely a different scenery then your walk :)
Some great pics! And you are right about the blockchain. Hopefully cooler heads will prevail regarding Bitcoin. Balance is the key to everything. ;)
Really nice place, calm and relaxing. Nice shots of the clouds too. I love looking at the sky specially during sunset and sunrise.
I literally go for walks everyday near the water or seeing sunrise or sunsets , and Steem about it . I'm not sure why , but it makes me feel like everything will get better , no matter what the struggle . @acidyo
Falling asleep was also a hard task to me. Very very hard task... Once you find a way to clear your mind, it becomes easier. For me it was meditation. It helped me a lot in many parts of my life.
As for the Blockchain, I feel like it's going to fix a lot of problems in the world in the future. At least, I hope so.
And of course, the pictures are fantastic and top quality ! Enjoying the views a lot :)

Have you got professional training for taking photos? Look very good. Great post and deserves an upvote. Keep posting.
Hehe not at all, haven't really photographed in the past much, Steemit brought it out of me. ^^
Steemit brought me back to writing. Though I am not getting much time to do the writing that I have been doing professionally, but still I like to to do the short posts whether they get some traction or not. My real goal is to bring my writing mojo back. By the way, you might like to [get some followers and may be upvotes here](https://www.facebook.com/groups/upvotesforsteemit/
Just beautiful, you even have an Ice rink during winters!
Yeah, let's hope that blockchain will bring more stability in the global economy.
Great photos @acidyo ! Happy to see that you're getting outside and enjoying some fresh air!
Not a cloud expert, but with a qualified guess I would say what you saw was a Steemus Cumulus.
That is, a cloud in honor of steem.
Seriously though, maybe semi-seriously, in the first picture we can see two bright white stripes. If you add another stripe and turn it vertically you will have the SteemIt logo... aka. Steemit Cumulus! 😃
lol, I'll take it, best explanation so far. :D
Just don't quote me on the facts. ;)
I'm heading up north tomorrow so I hope I will find that kind of weather.
In Germany it has literally rained non-stop for the last day.
Trevlig kväll!!
everywhere there are greedy people man... And I love the photos!
beautiful clouds and the blue sky my dear @acidyo you know what this sky and its blue colr reminds us the beauty of God who make the combination of light with some earth atmosphere and make this beautiful blue color and these clouds are not just the source of rain they talk with us you know here i want to explain the clouds and sky and what they actually are.....Glorious, heavenly light shone through the light, whispy clouds, signifying a new day. They parted, presenting a beautiful sky beneath. which makes me special me so much nhappy i love clouds and the sky which you captured in camera thatsbwhy im teeling this listen more,,, Its mesmerizing, how simple it looked, yet it seemed to hold every one of our thoughts, our dreams, our secrets. The space was a vast thing, stretching out for infinity over our heads. We are insignificant creatures, being embraced by the forever moving expanse over our heads. It was terrifying and yet affectionate, seeming like it could swallow you up whole, but also like it could hold you and whisper words of comfort. It was amazing, almost magical. If you stared at it for a long time, watching the clouds come and go, the sun setting in a magnificent flourish, you would think, maybe, it was talking with you. It was communicating in a way that it would seem like it was yelling when the striking lightning came and the thunder rattled the earth, it was smiling and speaking softly in the first rays of dawn, and it showed off its infinite beauty in the night, when the glittering stars came out of their curious hiding spots and winked at you. And ignorant people only say, ‘it’s only the sky and these snowy clouds , i hope you also agree with my thoughts i have alove with these clouds i always see the rain either its raining at 5am or at late night and even at office timing because its in my nature i cannot spend my day without seeing this blue sky and these clouds , thanks for uploading these beautiful and peaceful snaps of sky and clouds , may God give you more and more
I think I hate you... you have a paradise in every corner of your place :/
These are really nice pictures. Going for a calming walk and allowing yourself some time to take in the world around you, whist clearing your thoughts will undoubtedly help with sleep.
Here is a photograph I took a few weeks ago on an evening walk along the Estuary:
Really enjoyed your photos, clouds are magical ! Thanks for sharing
Finland is really such a beautiful country! One of the reason the population is one of the most happiest on earth! It seems so peaceful and calm!
Cheers
Lovely shots @acidyo! @progressivechef
One of your pictures in Deep Dream generator
Trippy. :D
love your pics, really great job. I also love to take pictures from clouds
That's an alien space ship for sure. (Not really.)
wow! that one is insane! how did you take it? :O from where?
@acidyo Walks are soo helpful. I once heard that it cures every kind of depression, if a person would just walk for 15 mins per day and stare out into the distance.
Those pics are gorgeous!!!
I sometimes stare at clouds and I can separate them with my eyes and they literally become different clouds and can turn into a mini version. It's the coolest thing! I forgot the technical term for it, but I learned it from an old friend :D
Hehe, I've been finding myself staring at the sky more and more during walks instead. The clouds, especially during sunsets have been amazing. Too bad it doesn't hold for that long of time here in Finland as the summers are pretty short.
Haha, yeah staring at them for longer and trying to make out what they could be is fun as well, as they are changing they turn into different objects as well depending on your imagination. :D
Thanks for the comment! :)
I do not know if you will even see the comment in the flood of comments but here goes - I think it is wonderful to see you worrying about the future of the world. Well - not exactly worrying but thinking about it. It is true that greed, hunger for power and selfishness have dominated the world so far. A big instrument has been various monopolies like controlled currency and self serving regulations developed by biased political bodies. Whatever I have read of the block-chain technology, gives me to understand that block-chain promotes trace-ability, immutability and transparency. These are the qualities that will serve the world and make it a better place. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and concerns.
About the photos - I really love the photo of the path with the weird cloud formation on top and the two sunset photos towards the end. Really nice captures using just a smartphone.@acidyo -
I know I am just a newcomer and it is impudent of me to request a senior Steemian like you but since I care about my passion, wildlife awareness, I will request anyway - I have posted a blog with Original GIFs of 💕𝓐 𝓓𝓪𝓽𝓮 𝔀𝓲𝓽𝓱 𝓛𝓲o𝓷𝓮𝓼𝓼𝓮𝓼 that you may find interesting. I would be honored if you visit my blogs and take a look. Your valuable comments will be eagerly awaited. Thanks
Cool @acidyo
lol
Nice captures that you've taken during your walk and interesting thoughts! Resteemed :)
I guess we are all responsible for our own doings, so every generation has to deal with the legacy of the previous one. I bet our parent's generation wasn't too happy either having to build up their countries after the Second World War. I mean, there has been always trouble in the World. Since we tend to have a self-centered perspective, our own problems will always seem bigger than the ones others have or had to face, it's a natural thing.
Looking around us and in front I totally agree with you: I think that this "new world" we're part of is capable of many things. We're driving towards a more self-dependent life with less structure, institution, regulation and obligation - and more responsibility but also freedom for every one. Maybe even more "balance" as you called it...
It's definitely going to be exciting times, and the blockchain is one little piece of that.
Interesting thoughts you have! I was thinking along similar lines too. Last I heard Finland was toying with the guaranteed basic income. Not sure what stage that is in but if it ever comes about, or more like when it does, now with the age of automation, it would be nice if it allowed creative individuals to focus on their interests.
Regarding the past generations...I think that we should be mindful of the past whilst moving forward and steering clear of past mistakes. Forgotten mistakes are bound to be remade. The Internet of Things should be interesting to watch grow and spread but I am still not sure how optimistic I am about the time frame for all this. I am thinking around 10-20 years for blockchain tech to mature and gain mainstream adoption but these can be very interesting and exciting years. Or they could be quite bad for some. We are in for a real roller-coaster either way it goes with this.
I like the shots you took of your hometown. Seems like a lovely, quiet place that sits close to nature which I like. The clouds look like cirrus cloud formations to me. The massive random boulder looks cool, I like climbing those actually. Have no idea how it got there if there isn't a mountain around. But I guess that ice could have moved it around many years ago.
All the best!
Finland is so beautiful and these pictures give exposure to how it really is there on a normal day, otherwise i always used to think that the internet content must be a bit added fancy .
Finland is on 2nd number in my places to-be list though :)
Thanks for sharing
oh, sorry, I left that boulder there for later. Is it in your way?
Hey . Yes, I liked the article, you're right. Rest gives the filling of vital energy. And there itself will be everything, well, of course if you want to and take measures for this. I myself try to make out of time out of the city, in the pine forest, by the way, it is good for health. Thank you very much. I liked everything.
the clouds form are sign that are speaking to you: they are saying: 'be ready to buy more steem when it's cheap!' haha
This is so cool, I love nature :) Can you follow me as well @evyarts? I would love to continue learning from you!
Let me tell you about the drug addiction and hallucinations.
The pictures you took are cool. It's a beautiful, calm area you live in. It is important to not loose the connection to nature and restore your energy there.
Very thoughful post.
In Los Angeles we have no clouds :(
Very nice photo master @acidyo
It was a great day for pictures.
So much green around you :)
Indeed, Finland is lovely during the summers.
Wow @acidyo, those Pictures are just amazing but this cloud formation is really a little weird though :D
You can call yourself very happy to live at such a place like this ;)
Amazing pictures @acidyo
Beautiful photos, thank you for the post!
That tunnel is so freaky cool... @u@
I live in the wrong climate. All I want is for it to be cloudy all day so I can do my walk whenever.
What a fantastic collection . Im glad you shared .
