Heyyo! Haven't posted in a while, I'm glad I haven't lost any followers in the mean time :)
How is everyone doing? Just thought I'd ask since we have been seeing a big downtrend lately. Obviously I can't predict the future, I can't tell you exactly when the bottom of this downtrend will be or when it will start shooting up again but what I can tell you is that things like these have happened time after time in the crypto-world. Every time these things happen it makes big headlines and news and the panic and fear equal the losses that new investors make cause they either got in late or don't know enough about the history of cryptos to realize that you won't lose out as long as you don't sell. :)
I hope not many of you have invested too much or funds which you can't afford to lose and that you aren't being all to emotional about it lately. I like to think of the investments a lot like potential rewards from posts here, you should not feel entitled and get used to them during big uptrends or big upvotes, remember that anything can happen before payouts and same thing goes for the crypto-space.
Just hodl on tight, I have never been more sure that with time prices will turn around again. :)

As a newcomer to crypto in general, and steemit in particular, I'm mostly excited about the recent drops. It means I'll get a good opportunity to get in :) having just purchased around 500eur worth of BTC when it dropped to 1800 yesterday I am ready to start powering up my steem as soon as the steem value goes to the point I hope to buy it at :) (Although I would not be surprised to see it fall a bit more before August the 1st I still hope this time is a good time to invest long-term!)
Indeed! or as I think I've written in some other context: Be careful when celebrating success by a rising price, or you risk thinking it's failing when price falls. Focus on developing. So let us just focus on writing great content and building an increasingly awesome community!
And finally. Those pictures are amazing! having lived in Paris now for 10 months I really miss the ability to just walk outside and be in nature :) You're lucky to have that!

@acidyo -You are certainly right in saying that we should not get used to big uptrends and big rewards only - whether on Steemit or in crypto space. On Steemit, it is all about engagement and not just monetisation. Thank you for your positivity and the great outdoor shots. The greenery is really soothing. Hugo looks adorable too. I think a lot of people needed to hear those words, many people have been panicking and doing rashed decisions, maybe because they are new to it and never witnessed anything like it. Kind of like me, but I have been following up lately and managed to hodl my coins.

The cat has seen it all. Reminds of the kitten from that Documentary "Should I smoke Dope". One of the coolest documentaries i've seen. Looks like the car that use to post up by the window in the coffee shop.

I believe this kind of encouragement from you was needed. I saw some users with a lot of followers in panic and I believe that for a new joiner with less experience and knowledge on the specific level of volatility cryptocurrency have this could be perceived as a strong reason to quit. So thanks for being as relaxed as possible. I'm sure the cat is helping a lot :)

I think we should not lose our hopes and continue to post at this critical time. I made this mistake a few months ago when the price drop and I did not post, do not even think about making this mistake too. Steemit needs us now, at these critical moments. Pretty nice cat :)

I have a child little cat as adorable as charming can be ,she adores it when I stroke her simply watch and you will see. Good to see you back acidyo. I agree, corrections always happen in crypto, that's life :). I strongly believe that in a few years, cryptos will become more and more mainstream and useful, and those "bloodbaths" will only look like tiny little bumps on a chart.

love big open spaces, i'm blessed where i am here with nature and countryside. it's a great leveller and it's always inviting and never asks anything of me, nature, making it a goal over the next year to be outside more! :)

Very beautiful pictures you took during your walk. Reminds me of a path i like to walk through in my home country Sweden. The tree's, the open sea and the lush forest truly is breathtaking in it's beuty.

What a big difference a good camera can make to colors in an image. However, I would say that the image taken by the "worse camera" gives a good retro look.
