Heyyy, remember about a week back, I posted the banana flower? A beautiful purple flower at the end of the stem? And I said I would go back to check if the bananas had fruited?
Well, here they are! 😃
Not very big bunch... Not very big bananas. And someone actually took the flower! 😯 Told you it is edible, right?!!

Looks like its a jungle out there, right?
Not really, remember, we were just having our tea time just a few feet away!
And if I turn around, I'm actually at the satay (sate) grill... hahaha!
Hmmm, they could actually grill the bananas... hehehe!
Not too big, not too many leaves
A bit messy, hence I thought a monochrome might make it look better! Haha!! A personal trick I use... when things don't look so good; black and white kinda 'cleans' it up! Makes it look 'creative'! 😉 It is growing right from the sides of a canal, so it was a bit awkward to photograph, without falling right over!
You wouldn't want that to happen, right?!! Right??

wih harvest bananas.
bananas are a very healthy fruit and contain many vitamins.
I love bananas
I agree! Bananas are great for you! :)
Yes I agree and use the black and white trick as well.
They may be small, but there is a lot of them.
Hehehe... Oops! Cat's outta bag! ;)
Yeah... lots of small fruits... But still green - Good for fried banana fritters tho!
Thank you, @old-guy-photos
@ackhoo Awesome sis, I've also planted several banana trees at my home's backyard :D
Wow! So you'll soon be enjoying the fruits of your labour? Or should I say the fruits from your tree... lol
Thank you, my friend! :)
Yeah, soon enough sis, the banana tree's flowers just blossoming now (maybe another few months, perhaps lol)
You're welcomed my friend :D
Wow! Hmmm, if the timing is same with this little tree, it should be within a month or less. I shot the flower less than 2 weeks ago plus minus some days between...
Enjoy the fruits when they are ripe!! :D
That's so cool to have bananas growing right there. Did you pick any to take home even though it was tricky by the water lol
Haha - yeah, I could have but they weren't fully ripened yet! Although they looked good enough for fried banana fritters - good too! ;)
Thank you, @molometer!

I love it. I didn't even realize that bananas flowered so nicely. Cool pics and I agree about the black and whites. Fixes my bad photos all the time. ;)
Hehehe... looks like we all found that lil 'secret'... lol
Thank you very much, @energyaddict22! Do you get many banana plants/trees there? May be the reason you're unfamiliar with them... We get lots of them everywhere, almost! :)
Great photos! I want some of those beautiful bananas please!!🤗
Lol... Not really ripened yet, but great for cooking! :)
Thank you, @cooknbake!!

You know i have actually seen them banana flowers been sold at the Thai markets i always wondered what they cook them with and how they must taste ???
Yup, we can easily find them here too, even in supermarkets!
I know there's a dish with the flower cut in thin strips, then cooked with coconut milk and turmeric powder, into a type of curry. Not quite sure about the taste though, I usually take the curry without the flower strips! :D
Interesting must try one day thanks for that info :)
