Awesome post @dimitri0610. I recently travelled to Iceland but sadly only had a camera capable of 3 second exposure so my aurora pics were pretty dire. As i'm not a photographer, and am pretty new to low light photography as wel,l it was a good learning experience and just seeing the aurora was amazing. However, your post has definitely given me some useful tips too, thank you!

That's great to hear that you found it to be helpful! I'm glad that you at least had the opportunity to see the lights. I've met people who have traveled here from all over the world, only to leave without seeing anything due to many different conditions, i.e. weather, aurora intensity, etc. I hope that one day you are afforded another opportunity to see them and who knows, maybe that time you'll have a different camera on hand! But at least you'll always have the memories.
Absolutely, memories are what count! I'm hoping one day my steemit account will allow me to invest in a camera capable of low light photography. For now, i generally use my camera for reference photos for my artwork and it's good enough for that at least :)
For me one of the big perks of joining steemit is the community of photographers and artists, all of whom i am learning so much from. It's a joy to come on here everyday.
It sure is! I've only been around for about a week, but I love it already!
