It was a very cold day today and I took the Ricoh GRII out for the first time in a long time. The light was very low and it was difficult to get the best out of the camera, so I settled on mostly program settings and taking many exposures to compensate camera shake as I really didn't want to push the ISO too much. The camera did pretty well, although it tended to focus on background for some of these, shooting wide open aperture. But it's fine, I'm still learning this camera. The point is I really enjoyed getting out with my photography eye for a change. I got some great silhouettes I think I will use to source some other arty ideas I have, and I just love the textures on the trees as always. It was a bleak day and I think it shows in the atmosphere of the photos, so I'm happy with this little set. The parakeets made a surprise appearance too!
