In my post about the Amalfi Coast (https://steemit.com/travel/@agniese/blue-of-the-sky-and-sea-or-the-amalfi-coast-italy) I didn't mention about one, very special place. To be honest I did it on purpose. It requires a dedicated space.
Torre a Mare, the ancient watchtower in Praiano that is currently occupied by Paolo Sandulli, a painter and ceramist who opened there his own studio.
Would you like to buy something from him?
My art teacher told us about him while in Uni.
I remember I found it intriguing that he makes terra-cotta busts sculptures with sea sponge hair.
Who wouldn't want a souvenir like that? ^^ I know I would.
If I could only afford that... :))
Beautiful studio. I can see why you wanted to post this separately. He seems to have a thing for the ladies :)
It's a unique place and both he and his wife are extremely nice and warm people. For last few years it has become a touristic attraction what was not actually his intention. Originally, it was supposed to be a hideout and peaceful place to live and create. But you know... Fame happened :)))
