Finally, after weeks and months of indecision, the sky has opened up and delivered snow in Belgrade. It was a challenge to go outside during this stormy weather to shoot some photos, especially without a weather sealed camera (one of the rare things I don't like about my Fuji).
Hope you enjoy these photos I took yesterday.

Love the blond with the umbrella! Her face says it all. 😄
That's an intense gaze indeed. 😄
Totally my point of view, indeed! The pic stands out and in gray-scale fits the atmosphere perfectly :)
It's a beautiful collage of your amazing work, interesting and inspirational.
Thanks!
Your pics are always excellent shots!
And that place looks soo cold!
Thank you! It's really cold these days. :)
Napokon se belimo :) Odlicno zabelezeno @alcibiades.
Bilo je vreme. :) Hvala!
Love the real-life perspective you put into the compositions. Very nicely done. Black and write is outstanding as well.
That's what my main purpose is. Glad you enjoyed!
@alcibiades! It is impossible to pick only one. So, I picked numbers 2 & 7 😍
Beautiful work!
I can see what type of photos you prefer. :) Great choice as always!
The people going down the stairs - you have one in black and white and the next shot is color - both look amazing.
I love how you captured everyone with their heads down except for the girl standing in the doorway. Even the cars lights are cast downwards.
I'm not sure what's going on in the third last photo - blue sky with white things that look like meteors...I like it!
And of course, I love the wet window shot.
Nice ones @alcibiades!!
Yeah, everything and everybody is trying to protect itself from the storm. That's why it's fun to shoot in these conditions, no one is paying attention to what's happening around them.
Meteors in the blue sky are snowflakes, it's cool how they turned out. :)
Thanks for watching!
The only Belgrade I have visited was in Minnesota. It is not as picturesque, but it certainly never had a shortage of snow in winter.
Definitely visit our Belgrade if you find yourself nearby. :)
I'm afraid it's unlikely that I will ever be in that part of the world unless STEEM really takes off into the stratosphere, and I can find a way to travel without encountering the TSA or other overreaching US government goons.
No. 9 is the best one for me!
Good choice! :)
Thank you for this snowy walk around Belgrade, stunning shots!
I'm glad you enjoyed the walk! :)
Phenomenal street work. When I go to the city I’ll try some for myself:)
I'm glad you enjoyed! Looking forward to see how it goes. :)
Snow is incredibly difficult to shoot, but you did a fantastic job! Nice work!
Glad you enjoyed the results!
Svaka čast za fotografije, kada ih vidiš prosto poželiš da izađeš napolje po ovoj zimi :-)
Hvala! Primamljivo, ali bolje ipak ostati kod kuće. :)
Love these! I was wondering how people take photos in precipitation. Ididn't even know weather sealed cameras were a thing. I'm sure mine's not. How did you keep your camera safe during these? I love the way things look in the rain/snow, but am never quite sure if I should risk ruining my camera!
I especially like the very last photo. The lamppost, and the man with the dog, and the pizza place. Something about the composition really tickles me!
Yes, there are cameras with a build quality good enough to protect it from rain and other extreme conditions. Usually the price is high as well. :/ I was just always having one hand or a glove on top of the camera and drying it every once in a while to prevent any issues. :)
I'm glad you liked the photos! Got lucky with that last shot, but that happens when you are always looking for opportunities.
Great! You've inspired me to try to get some shots next time it's raining/snowing. :)
This, snow and rain photography, is basically why I want to buy the Olympus OMD EM1 and their weather sealed lenses. It is so much fun to take pictures under circumstances where people are not that aware of their surroundings, just thinking about keeping warm and getting home ;-) Plus, many photographers will stay inside during these weather conditions too!
I really like the 2 pictures where hooded anonimous bodies walk down the stairs... The light behind them makes it all nice and grim - exactly my taste :-)
Yes! As you can tell from the photos, everyone is keeping their heads down and trying to fight the conditions which is very fun and entertaining to photograph. But it is a lot harder when you have to constantly keep one hand on top of camera.
EM1 is a great camera! I was thinking of getting Sony A7R III or even wait for the cheaper A7III which they just announced. Not having to worry about conditions is a huge plus.
Yeah, it was a nice spot to relax for a bit and get some cool shots of mysterious hooded people coming from the light. Glad you enjoyed. :)
All photos are really great, but the last one is my favorite :).
I almost deleted it the moment it was photographed, thinking it's not good. :) Glad I didn't.
Haha, fortunately, you didn't delete :) ... and I'm glad too.
Hi @alcibiades
I love and enjoy your photograph! Street photography is always fun because you get to capture different moments from each random people on the streets. I love the 4th photos because of the lady expressions, its very raw and "true to life" feeling. I did check out your other posts and really love all the photo you took. I am an artist and mostly working with black and white pointillism art. Your photos definitely give me inspiration for my artwork. Thanks!!
I am glad you are enjoying my street photos! It's a lot of fun trying to document the life on the streets and capture great moments. Thanks for the comment!

Excellent images
It’s so hot here but i could feel the coldness through your photos. I feel like putting my warm blanket and stare at the images. Haha!
My cousin who lives in Belgrade told me just recently about the super cold weather there! Hope it's better now! Amazing photos!
