- Catatumbo lightning: The international organization Guinness recognized with the world record the meteorological phenomenon that appears in the Lake Maracaibo basin due to "the highest concentration of lightning". The occurrence of the phenomenon is 240 days a year, from April to November, with a nighttime duration of 8 to 10 hours and a record of 18 to 60 lightning bolts per minute. 5 Source
- One of the largest species of spiders in the world is found in Venezuela, it is the Theraphosa blondi, whose ends of its extended legs can reach 28 to 30 cm in length. It is also found in Brazil and Guyana.
