Black and White photograph. Ruins.

Above the old whaling port of Whitby is the ruins of Whitby Abbey. Famous for being the port where Dracula came to England it is also the port from where Captain Cook started his voyages of discovery.
The most famous view of Whitby abbey is from the other side, taken from beyond the pond but I find this angle shows the size of the ruins better. Below I've posted the more famous view.

Wow! That is amazing!! I've seen photos of the ruins before, but much older ones; I guess I didn't expect them to still be so "in-tact", in lack of a better term. Really cool!

With the storms that come in off the North Sea they're holding up really well.
