Arrived in Zermatt

Arrived in the last section trip with the Glacier Express through wild and romantic larch woods, avalanche protected structures and many tunels to the beautiful, in summer and winter, car free Zermatt. A magical mountain village in Valais, Swiss Alps with many luxury sky resorts. After 8 hours with the Glacier Express trai from St. Moritz to Zermatt was an amazing scenic journeys with amazing mountains panoramic views. The best way to explore Zermatt is on foot or by electric cab, bicycles, even by horse-drawn carriage.

Just before you arrived in Zermattyou will see from train the majestic Mattherhorn to 4478 meters above sea level one of the the most famous mountain in the world. a paradise for skiers, hikers and mountain lovers.

If you are traveling by private car, you can drive to Täsch about five kilometers before Zermatt, from here you can change to the shuttle and travel comfortably by train to Zermatt, or with the Glacier Express to terminus in the heart of the Matterhorn village Zermatt.

In addition to the local cuisine, not only is the variety of excellent restaurants and bars is very large, but also the quality gourmet of these fine gastronomic establishments. Several are Michelin starred restaurants.

The cab fares prices have gone up considerably.
