Green The pestle (Leptocorisa oratorius) is an insect that becomes an important pest on cultivation plants, especially rice. In Aceh, these insects are called: Geusong.
The pestle sucking the plant fluid from the flower stalk (paniculae) and also the fluid of the rice which is still in the cooking stage of milk causing the plants lack of nutrients and yellowing (chlorosis), and slowly weakened.
The name of this animal shows the form of self-defense, which emits a scent that stings the nose (so called "pest"). Actually not only the orange sulang who issued this aroma, but also many other Alydidae members.
