When I first glimpsed this iceberg in the distance through binoculars, our small ship was heading in the opposite direction. I have to credit the captain for turning a glimpse into a photograph. I remember him listening patiently while I made a case for going closer. The captain's name is Arne, a veteran of icy waters and now retired living in Denmark. The resulting picture is down to the trust that Arne gave me that day. He was willing to change the ship’s course and together we made a beautiful picture.
