Hello dear Steemians,

neben der Burg fällt dem Betrachter der Stadtsilhouette ein weiteres markantes Bauwerk Wertheims sehr ins Auge. Dabei handelt es sich um den sogenannten "Spitzen Turm" von Wertheim.

next to the castle, another striking building of Wertheim is very noticeable to the observer of the city silhouette. This is the so-called "Spitze Turm" of Wertheim - translated it means "Spiky Tower".

Errichtet im 13. Jahrhundert als Wach- und Wartturm, diente er später auch als Gefängnis für "Trunkenbolde" und "zänkische Weiber". Dieses befand sich wohl in dem achteckige Oberbau, der dem Turm sein umverwechselbares Anlitz verleiht und erst nachträglich im 15. Jahrhundert zum statische Ausgleich des schiefen Unterbaus hinzugefügt wurde.

Built in the 13th century as a watchtower and waiting tower, it later served as a prison for "drunkards" and "quarrelsome women". This was probably in the octagonal superstructure, which gives the tower its interchangeable stranding and was only added later in the 15th century for the static compensation of the inclined substructure.

Vor mehr als 25 Jahren, etwa zu der Zeit, als ich mein Abitur machte, war ich auch mal Gast auf einer Party, die ganz oben in dem Turm stattfand. Leider warfen auf dieser Party einige Besoffene ihre "Kippen" achtlos auf den Holzboden des Turms, und beschädigten diesen dadurch so arg, so daß dies wohl die letzte Party für alle Zeiten in dieser eigentlich so coolen "Location" (pardon für diesen doppelten Anglizismus ;-) ) war.

More than 25 years ago, about the time I graduated from high school, I was a guest at a party at the top of the tower. Unfortunately at this party some drunkards carelessly threw their "cigarettes" on the wooden floor of the tower, and damaged it so badly, that this was probably the last party for all times in this actually so cool "location".

Dies ist neben den beiden Techno-Projekten "Jam & Spoon" und "Dance 2 Trance" ein weiteres sehr erfolgreiches Projekt des genialen Produzenten Jam El Mar (Rolf Ellmer) aus Frankfurt am Main.
Diese Produktion orientiert sich noch sehr stark an den typischen Frankfurter Hip-Hop Produktionen aus dieser Zeit. Vergleichbar sind die frühen Werke von Snap!

To today's #rapthursday of @flipstar I would like to remind you of an old club hit "This Beat Is Hot" by B.G. The Prince Of Rap from the time when I was at the party described above. Besides the two techno projects "Jam & Spoon" and "Dance 2 Trance" this is another very successful project of the ingenious producer Jam El Mar (Rolf Ellmer) from Frankfurt am Main. This production is still very much oriented to the typical Frankfurt hip-hop productions of that time.Zum heutigen #rapthursday von @flipstar möchte ich noch einen alten Club Hit "This Beat Is Hot" von B.G.
