I really enjoy taking photos of the growing Silver Orb Weaver family in my backyard. They are venomous but harmless to humans. An easy way to recognize them is through the "X" pattern on their web, or the silver pattern on the back of their abdomen.

This morning I also found a leaf where the eggs hatched and the little spiderlets were grouping together and hiding in the shade. Their mom was near by, and she seemed OK with me getting really close for the shot.

Another shot of the spider's belly. Unfortunately there were no good angles to get a photo of their silver backs. Still I really like studying all the details on their legs and body. So far I've counted more than 10 adult females hanging on my thyme bush, ginger and pineapples - no complains from me though, they are a natural pest control - they don't eat the plants, but they eat the things that do. :)

Thank you for stopping by :)

haha, eight-legged content is lurking everywhere :) A couple of months ago we had a golden weaver hang out in one side of the house and the silver Orb weaver on the other... The Gold one grew to be huge!

awwww the cute little spider babies :) they must be confused... it is a huge world out there.... where to go? What to do? :)

LOL! Little anarco-arachnids 😂

The baby spiders are soooo cuteee

Is that poisonous or something??

Venomous but not poisonous to people.

That is a thing of beauty..
