Drones and Aerial Photography

in #photography7 years ago

More and more photographers are adding drones as part of their gear.
I decided to jump aboard and get myself a phantom 3. The price was cheap and if I crashed it, I wouldn't have to declare bankruptcy.

After a few flights, I was pleased to discover how easy it is to fly this thing. When airborne, you can let go of the controls and the drone will just sit in the air. It is also very stable; the satellites and gyro do a fantastic job of stabilizing the body and camera which makes shooting a treat. It has a slew of saftey features and will even fly itself back to the take-off spot if necessary. The battery was also impressive, lasting a solid half hour. This was more than enough for me, and i got plenty of great shots. There was a little post-proccessing required, but i found the quality was superb for such a little camera nonetheless.
