The title that you have just read is probably one of the best quotes about life in general. Apparently, it came out of Steve Jobs mouth. I don't know if that is true or not, but the quote itself sounds very true for me. We tend to think that once we arrive at a destination we will be satisfied or happy, fulfilled, done. That is an illusion. In that way, we train ourselves to never be satisfied or happy with this present moment, with this present state. Saying: "I will be happy once I achieve this or that..."
We project our happiness into the future that never comes.

You must have experienced that once you are done with something or you achieve something you are happy for a short period of time. And then? Then you are not. You are happy and then you are not. And it seems that whole your life you are in this vicious circle of being happy for a short period of time and then this inner dissatisfaction creeps in again and you are onto another thing, you are achieving something new, never really and truly being happy with what is, right now.
Don't get me wrong I am all about progress and development and achieving things. But don't you think we should enjoy this present moment a little bit more?
Just breathe in.
Take that deep breath in. Hold it for a bit. Feel it. Feel yourself. Be thankful. You are alive. Feel the love! Embrace it.
Love,
Ardas
