A little more than a year ago I went to a very cool Stanley Kubrick exhibition in Mexico City. The place was crowded, so it was very difficult to take pictures. But I managed to take a few.
The exhibition included items from his movie’s scenography or wardrobe, like one of the apes from “2001: A Space Odyssey” or a sculpture from the Korova milk bar from “A Clockwork Orange”.
The camera used to shoot “Barry Lyndon” was also there. The guy giving us the tour told us Kubrick had to adapt lens borrowed from NASA in order to use only candlelight to shoot the movie.
Remember those masks from “Eyes wide shut”?
They were also showing part of his private lens collection. If something like this every comes to your town, I would definitely recommend that you visit.
