THE IMPORTANT ROLE OF INSECTS TO HUMANS AND THE ENVIRONMENT

The insect is hexapoda (hexa = six; podos = limbs) and belong to the phylum Arthopoda (arthos = joints; podos = limbs) that covers all kinds of animals with limbs that berbuku – the book. In the study of insect known term entomologist, entomology (entomon = insect; logos = science) is a branch of the science of Zoology that studies all matters relating to insects. Various things are examined on Entomology, among others: the life cycle of insects, insect identification, insect evolution, the role of insects in the ecosystem, the role of in human life, and more. The insect has a very important role for human survival, but the role of the insect still less known by the public at large even some consider insects means or seen from the downside. There are some insects that harm humans, but there are many insects are beneficial to human life. It can even be said there will be no human survival, if insect be destroyed from the Earth. That is because, the important role of insects in the ecosystem the insect as one of the important components of an ecosystem and can not be replaced by a role other living beings.
