I want you to join me on this bench. Yes, you, the reader, the traveler, the nomad and the adventurer. I have chosen, today, to make my contribution to the community by sharing something beautiful. This place (photo that I snapped in North Bend, Oregon) is to me, just that: beautiful.
I sat here, watching birds as they flapped their wings in the water of the bay. Just up the street, about a block and a half away, there is a busy highway. Usually, the unnatural sound of the large semi-trucks, as they rumble down the roadway, would detract from the scenery. However, the floor of the bay seems to break down the sound, successfully muffling it's monotony within the soft, damp soil. The air is heavy and still, with only a slight wandering across the tidally confused waters.
My question for you, my reader, empowered with imagination, is this: What are your thoughts? How do you feel? Close your eyes and imagine yourself seated on this, one bench. This is the only bench, uniquely placed here, in the entire universe. That fact, alone, makes this bench special, but a bench is made for sitting and without someone to sit and think on it, it is just another bench. So help me make this bench's day. This may be the only time in all of eternity that it gets this much attention or thought!
By the way... we have some company... I think it's here for @riverflows...

Ha, bloody seagulls. We just had a beautiful black cockatoo screech overhead. I would love to visit Oregon one day.

This makes me yearn to make it back out to Oregon! I've only visited once, but it was one of my favorite trips ever. The land just spoke to me. I would gladly sit on that bench for hours, especially in peaceful solitude. Though I wouldn't begrudge a few feathered friends their space. ;)
Hahaha .. yes I agree... I happened to be eating some chips and ended up having to get back in the van to not be poo'ed upon, but I would have gladly been poo'ed on with you, had you joined me. 😜
Haha, isn't it good luck to have a bird poo on you? We just had some friends move out to Portland, so a visit out that way is definitely high on my list for 2020!
