The school always wrote the essay "How I spent the summer." This happened in September. After January 19th, I’ll write “How I spent my birthday.” Do not worry, it will not be a 3-volume tome, just a few photos and a few words.

В школе всегда писали сочинение "Как я провёл лето". Это случалось в сентябре. После 19 января я напишу "Как я провёл день рождения". Не пугайтесь, это не будет 3-х томный фолиант, всего несколько фотографий и пара слов.
Это я, весь в подарках.
Так получилось, что для празднования дня рождения мы сняли коттедж. Как видите, на крещенские морозы шёл дождь, снега нет вообще... и январь продолжает сходить с ума.
It so happened that we rented a cottage to celebrate our birthday. As you can see, it rained on Epiphany frosts, there is no snow at all ... and January continues to go crazy.
Но это не повод, чтобы мы были расстроены. Коттедж оказался очень гостеприимным. Домовой нас принял как родных. Было даже ощущение, что мы тут живём всю жизнь.
But this is not a reason for us to be upset. The cottage was very welcoming. The brownie accepted us as relatives. There was even a feeling that we have been living here all our lives.
Я не буду показывать, что мы делали сидя за столом. Делали всё то, что обычно принято в таких случаях. Поздравляли, веселились, общались. За столом была большая семья с моими детьми и внуками.
Ночь пришла незаметно и мы пошли гулять.
Trains here emerge from one mountain and after a few tens of meters disappear into another mountain.
I hope for a winter evening my photos added a little summer warmth and mood. Happy Old New Year to all! I wish you happiness!
The night came quietly and we went for a walk.
Потом мы много гуляли днём. Лесной воздух наполнял нас здоровьем. Да, снега не было, но гулять было приятно. Я много фотографировал, но это другая история.
Then we walked a lot during the day. Forest air filled us with health. Yes, there was no snow, but it was nice to walk. I photographed a lot, but that's a different story.
