A sepia impression of Doel, Belgium

These pictures were shot in Doel, an almost abandoned village in Belgium next to a nuclear power plant.
It was on my bucket list for al long time and it was well worth the visit.
I shot a lot of pictures and many of them I chose to edit in B&W. But maybe these pictures look even better in Sepia.

Deze foto's zijn geniaal / monumentaal!

100% dramatiek en inderdaad versterkt de sepia tone dat nog eens extra.

dat de belgen dit zo laten, een getuigenis van de waanzin van kernenergie!

Er schijnt meer achter te zitten dan alleen die kerncentrale. Ik weet er het fijne niet van. Maar het is in ieder geval een mooie plek om te bezoeken en foto's te schieten.

Als ik me niet vergis is er ooit een tv uitzending over geweest bij de VPRO of Zembla ofzo.
Fascinerende apocalyptische plek.

Als ik ooit in die buurt kom wil ik er zeker langs.

Hier op steemit een keer fantastische foto's gezien van Tsjernobyl, ongeveer een jaar geleden, ook waanzinnig.

Dat lijkt me ook heel gaaf. Zal ik wel een loden pak moeten aantrekken waarschijnlijk!

You are right, sepia edit is perfect for these shots. My personal favourite, the first photo. It has something that speaks to me...that feeling of abandonment.
