RE: The Werewolf Moon

in #photography4 years ago

it would make a nice image for a "Story from a Picture" type post.

It was one of those hot August nights, the road was empty, the only light my headlights reelecting back on the roadway, barely illuminating the road through all the years of grime built up the headlights. The warm august night suddenly turned cold, a chill wind blew through the open window sending shivers up and down my spine. As I began to crank the window closed the clouds began to partly clear, revealing a full moon, and silvery linings to the clouds. No starts, just the full moon and silvery clouds. As i finished cranking the window closed, I heard it. A howling echoing down the road, not a normal wolf howling at the moon, but a strong menacing howl.

Fear was running and pumping rapidly through my veins, my heart was pounding at the sound of the unnatural howl. At first it was one animal I saw, or I think it was an animal, it was loping along side my car at 30 miles an hour. I saw it look over at me, the bright golden yellow of its eyes, more menacing seeming than the howl....

Maybe someone will add to it, maybe not. It was a pretty thought provoking picture for a story.
