Closer to "The Truth", Part Two

in #photography7 years ago (edited)

Read Part One here.

We often find ourselves having an opinion that's way more informed and beneficial than those of people around us, but we don't have enough confidence to express these opinions so that they may be heard and acknowledged. Therefore, we often find ourselves in a situation led by less than optimal opinions and have to endure it, even if we don't like it. And it seems that we prefer enduring other people's less-than-optimal standards than to train our own confidence. Why is that?

Wouldn't it be in our own, as well as everybody's interest to think, speak and act from a place of confidence, so that we may match our opinions to those of others?

Certainly, the process of building our confidence would have to involve the following:

  • dissolution of doubts
  • belief reinforcement
  • overcoming the fear of exposing ourselves
  • reinforcing the awareness of having the responsibility to share our opinions
  • overcoming the fear of the consequences of my actions

What other ways are there to build our confidence?

Practice is a great way to build confidence, repetition is complimentary with practice.

What other ways are there to build our confidence?

This is a great question to ponder @bass0 thanks for the opportunity.

Thank you @dadtho for your kind words. I find fascinating how this platform incentivises quality content, and I've always wanted to reach out with my reflections on life. I also happen to have a 14-year photo archive, so I've decided to unite it with my writing and put it out there. My goal is to save enough money for a good camera, since I lost my last one eight years ago and have been a smartphone photographer since then.
