I’m not sure if you’ve heard but I am absolutely in love with my city.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
People always ask me what was it like to grow up in Brooklyn. How am I supposed to answer that question? There are so many answers but the easiest one to say is absolutely amazing and I wouldn’t trade it for anything else. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Anything I could think of doing I could do... I don’t know if you believe me so I’m going to make a list (some of these activities are out east, on Staten Island, or Manhattan ) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
•eating some of the best cuisine •going to the beach •seeing some of the best art in the world •going to a bodega at 3:45 in the morning •going to plays and musicals •fishing •picnicking in Central Park •visiting a Medieval Castle •paint balling •going to events like the VMAs
•sailing
•surfing
•getting a mani pedi for less than $25 •bike riding (heck even a 100 mile bike race)
•even horse back riding •archery •having a stand off with a hoard of turkeys in a parking lot thinking hmmm will they ever move •axe throwing •land sailing (yes that’s a thing used to be at Floyd Bennett Field)
•any sport you can imagine (literally) •celebrity spotting •seeing the window displays during the holiday season •taking the train at anytime •visiting a bar where George Washington said his farewell to the troops ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I can really go on with this list but I will be writing it for hours. New York (5 boroughs and surround areas) can be what ever you want it to be, and that’s what makes it an incredible place.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So yeah growing up in Brooklyn was pretty freaking awesome.
