Yachting in Greece Day 5 - Zombie infestation.

It is safe to say that the best part of the whole yachting voyage was Shipreck beach.

The day before we were on the ridge over the beach watching a fabulous sunset and today we have decided to see it up close and in person.

Big boats are bringing tourists by hundreds.

At a first glance the beach seamed infested by zombies. Hundreds of people are trying to put a check mark on a landmark of their destination and to squeeze in on a beach for a few rays of sun even though the mountain casts a shade on the beach itself for the most of the day.

Nevertheless there is a great buzz and ferries giving out signals to tourists every now and then for them to come back. The ferries would usually stay for 30 minutes before going for another round trip which gives enough time for tourists to take a few selfies and have a short swim.

When the ferries leave it looks much less crowded. Such a trip would set you back for approx 40 EUR for 30 minutes on the beach.

Since the boats are gone, and bad gasoline smell altogether we set on an anchor and prepare ourselves for lunch in one of the most spectacular places in Greece. If i had to add the emotion and aura of the place when it is less crowded i'd say it is one of the more beautiful places i had a lunch.

Our amazing cook treated us with an amazing crunchy baked bread with garlic. Oh that smell!!

Needless to say it is best served with some Ouzo. And this is the brand i love the most. It is a bit sweater than the rest which goes well with the anise flavor if you can stand it.

After the lunch a few swimming sessions and a few selfies at the shipwreck we have departed for a port and that might have been a big mistake that we did not stay there anchored for the night. We did it on our way back and that;s another story that will be covered in another blog post.

Ouzo is sweet but is is still alcohol so drink in moderation. I apparently had one too many.

    I like that you make it a small series splitting it up into small pieces.
    And the pictures kinda make me jealous.

      Nobody would read the whole book :) I am limiting myself in wording, including just tips and most interesting adventures :)
