On our way back from a hike to the local creek on Sunday we were greeted by the local farm’s cow herd!
They took exceptional interest in the little man James it would appear. Perhaps they thought a meaty snack would be a good change in their typical diet of grasses.
After none of the bulls tried to break thru the fence I decided to serenade them with a good portion of the song “American Pie” by Don Mcclean as I’ve seen in other videos how much cows enjoy music.
They followed us all the way to the corner of their pen until they could follow no more.
James definitely took an interest in the cows.
Was a good closer to our hike to the creek.
James loves the outdoors. Has no concept of fear yet.
We pop him in the red wagon I had as a child, making it well over 25 years old of a wagon, and he holds on tight for the ride!
We also took a drive over the mountain range on Sunday into the neighboring county for a Sunday Lunch take out. At first we thought there might not be much to do up here in the northern, less populated areas of our county, but we were sure wrong! Just over the mountain there are tons of activities to get into that we can find ourselves wasting away the days.
Just got to find a way to rid our govt of all the lying sacks claiming that the “new normal” means wearing masks everywhere outside and social distancing.. anyways.
It only takes one month about for these birds to begin leaving the nest...
But I’ll give him all the time in the world. I imagine in 18 years our world will be but a shell of what it used to be. I hope for the better.
Take care y’all. Be safe. I pray to Heavenly Father.
I love the way cows like to line up at the fence and stare! James is growing up so fast. We, too, have a wagon that has been around for a long time, maybe 28 years. My sister still has our older brother's Red Flyer wagon. It isn't bright red any more, just sort of a dull red, and it must be about 72 years old.
Super antiquated! The history makes them more valuable to the owner.
