it happens, especially when you do that kind of specific photography. you can't always think of something new. if you had fun (-Led Lenser :) ) is the photo not taken really that important.
i had small xp with lightpainting, and never thought about the quality of the torch. mine was look this shines and it works :)

In most cases it is not that important what flashlights are used. But if you like to have good, natural colours like at daylight it is about colour rendering index (CRI) and colour temperature (tint). Most flashlights have those ugly, blueish, light.
