As we were just hitting Bangkok on the motorway, the sky turned amazing shades of pinks and oranges. It only lasted about 5 minutes before it was gone and we were doing 120km/h on the motorway so the pics may not be perfect, but I think you will still see the amazing colors that we saw.
If you know Bangkok you will probably recognize that these pictures were taken from the Rama9 Motorway looking west/South-West across to Pratunam and lower Sukhumvit around Chitlom. The tall building you can see is Baiyoke Sky which until recently was the tallest building in Thailand at 88 stories and 309 metres tall. However, it is still the tallest hotel in Southeast Asia.
I don't think Bangkok could ever be considered a "beautiful" city, but she does have her moments...and yesterday we caught a glimpse of them...
great colors from all the pollution :)
Beautiful sunset! Some of my favorite photography is that of sunsets. Just the hues mixing together in a sort of end of the day performance of the sky.. natures art is often the best!
Very nice pictures...good work.upvote.
