Greetings Dear Readers,
.
Hope you are well.
This Roman Maxim ....'He is a winner who perseveres.' ...is a principle that seems straightforward...right. Yet, when we are in the midst of pressures, an adversity or a disaster, there is always that temptation to throw in the towel..as it were...to give up, to give in to that negative prompt.
We cannot empathise or understand what a person has overcome, really, until we too have experienced being brought to the edge of our capability ...of our capacity...then indeed we understand the victor's victory....including that of overcoming self.
Let's give this Principle a think, shall we.
Thank you for dropping by. ^__^

Kind Regards,
Bleujay

Principles are timeless truths as relevant today as they were yesterday and will be tomorrow.
All for our ponderance.

This one strikes true to me and I have been thinking about it lately.
First of all, when starting to train Brazilian Jiu Jitsu later in life, 10 years or so ago, I always felt huge respect for the upper belts, and especially the Black Belts. It takes over a decade for most people to achieve that rank and those guys are such killers, we could never aspire to be that good or tough.
Then, right on the wall, are the words "A Black Belt is a White Belt who never quit." That spells perseverance and can be an inspiration to those who seek to cross that threshold knowing the primary trait is perseverance.
Secondly, I do a good deal of business consulting where I have to advise the owners how to handle competition. You do not ignore them and pretend you are different enough to be not competing. You also do not over react or get emotional at someone stealing your pie. You focus on what you do best, constantly improve yourself and your business and outlast that competition. Persevere.
Greetings @zekepickleman ,
What a lovely comment....enjoyed reading your thoughts.
That communicates does it not...."A Black Belt is a White Belt who never quit." ...how true.
I can really appreciate your advice to your customer regarding their competition...thank you. A wonderful application of this principle. Who hasn't had someone copy them here at Hive....and to think I did not think of this principle. However, I did apply another and did just as you suggest to your clients. ^__^
Thank you for dropping by.
Kind Regards,
Bleujay
I am very persistent and I feel happy in my work, so working is more of a satisfaction than an effort.
I have had moments of depression, when someone does something to me I ignore it, IGNORING is the weapon that I always use and I do it perfectly.
I have a lot of faith in GOD, someone always appears in my life to give me a hand, it is similar to being drowning in water and a hand takes me and rescues me.
I know that many people do NOT believe in GOD but for me it is the main thing.
Greetings @lupega ,
Thank you for your lovely comment. ^__^
Indeed, belief in the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob isthe main thing...without Him life would be but a shell.
Kind Regards, Bleujay
Your still life photography is very beautiful, peaceful.
Greetings @edith-4angelseu ,
Thank you for dropping by with these kind words about the photographs.

You are welcome.
When I look at the photos I see a winning squirrel who has successfully preserved for winter. Maybe it read your timeless truth. Great photos, looks like a natural fall feast.
Greetings @leaky20 ,
It does, does it not. ^__^
We have squirrels and you are right...they would think they had won the lottery.
Thank you for your kind reply and the smiles.

There is nothing absolute except God, but I agree with your statement @bleujay, regarding persistence and victory, but, as a rule, this is in the world ... Abraham was not persistent at all, he was very meek and preferred to step aside, and not to compete, for example, with Lot, not to mention the manifestations of cowardice, which is not typical of a leader who can be described as a stubborn person striving for victory, but, with all this, he was blessed and loved by God and I would prefer this to any persistence :)
Your still lifes are thought out to the smallest detail and this is visible in every photo, very impressive compositions!
I do not know how you were able to depict the bas-reliefs on the vase so realistically using watercolors, but this is magnificent!

Greetings @barski ,
Appreciate you dropping by.
Thank you for your kind words with regard to the photographs...only an artist could notice what you notice. ^__^
Appreciate hearing your thoughts with regard to the Principle. For the believer in Christ Jesus, this Principle could apply to pursuit of Bible Doctrine....distractions abound ...will we continue to 'Grow in Grace and in the knowledge of Truth (Bible Doctrine)....will we persevere...it is a volitional choice.
What I really appreciate about the timeless truths of Principles...is that there is an application for believer and non-believer...one from a position of doctrinal truths and the latter from a position of establishment truths.
With regard to the digital artwork....thank you for your kind words...I took a photograph of mine to a sketch app and worked on it there using their various tools...pencil, watercolour, etc. to produce what you see here.
Kind Regards,
Bleujay

It is always interesting to look at the issue from different angles, @bleujay.
I find the subject of some inconsistencies very interesting.
I think that God does not want us to be like horses with blinders on their eyes and they can't see anything on the sides.
If you rely narrowly on all sorts of slogans, then the probability of turning into such a horse, or a pedant increases many times.
I have seen many Christians who very persistently moved up the career ladder in the church, and then, when something did not go as planned, the popular Jamaican proverb began to work, which says that the higher a monkey climbs a palm tree, the better we can see its ass from below.
Yes, the fifth point of support was also created by God and, probably, in the country with the largest number of Christian churches in the world per capita, which is Jamaica, exactly this, as it seems to me, wise proverb took root.
Apparently, because there is another saying, the slower you go, the further you go, it is difficult to call this the persistence that many people have an idea about, because it is a very quiet, shadowy persistence lol. :)
Blessings to you!

Thank you for your kind response.
All very true.
One must know the difference between inordinate ambition, inordinate competition and that which has the right motivation.
Principles can assist in reaching maturity and therefore discernment ...many principles are in the Word of God....as in the books of Proverbs and Ecclesiastes. ..There is a verse ...be thinking this in you, the thinking of Christ Jesus...The Bible many times tells us to think.
When we make good decisions ...those decisions are from a position of strength....Strength comes through knowledge. ...'my strength comes from the Lord'...'the contentment of the Lord is your strength'....says the Bible...referring to our growth in 'grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ'....
Yes...'the quiet persistence' of which you write....we call plugging...sometimes it is a slog but is always worth it.
Thank you for the opportunity to dialogue with regard to the principle.
Kind Regards,
Bleujay

Thank you @thehockeyfan-at for dropping by.
Walnuts, hazelnuts, apples and pears - what a delightful combination @bleujay. It tempts me to delve straight into my pantry! The green of those apples comes across very boldly in your photos, the apples really stand out.
Now turning to your principle of perseverance, this is a tough one for many I suspect, including myself. We often know where we are trying to get to but getting there is not always so simple, such is the nature of life.
Perseverance and determination are closely linked and we need lots of it in this world if we are to achieve what we want. I'm sure you're more than familiar with the old adage if at first you don't succeed, try, try and try again. They are very wise words and so true.
By pushing ourselves to our limits and overcoming adversity only then can we appreciate how important the qualities of perseverance and determination truly are.
Another interesting post @bleujay to get us all thinking, this is what Hive is about.
Tip reward: 0.3 Hive
Greetings @peaceandmoney ,
Thank you for your kind words regarding the photographs.
The apples are coming across quite bold, despite my best efforts to calm them down...and they really are bold. ^__^
Appreciate the tip @peaceandmoney ....very kind of you. Your system is working ..it is immediate...already showing up in my wallet. This is a good idea...it is P2P....interesting.
Appreciate the reminder of the old familiar adage....because I had quite forgotten it. It is so true.
The thinking part of these Principles...the opportunity to give readers a think..brings to mind the Principle that 'Truth never returns void.'...meaning you will either respond or react....you will not be neutral.
Happy to hear your thoughts regarding the Principle.
Kind Regards,
Bleujay
Thank you for elaborating on the rationale behind the principle, it's good to get more context.
In relation to the tip, you're very welcome! I accidentally put 0.03 Hive in the original message but corrected it to 0.3 Hive. I don't know which figure you saw but I can assure you I sent 0.3 Hive!
Yes, I am enjoying the tip voting I have devised, I may even call it my new system of Vips! Enjoy!
Oh yes..it is .300....thank you very generous of you @peaceandmoney.
