The Results of Boredom - Experimented with the camera - Sony SLT-A65V

in #photography7 years ago

Two days ago, I decided to take pictures of myself with the self timer of the camera. I want to figure out how this camera works and when to use the several functions and by using a desk lamp of the IKEA (lol). Also, I wanted to experiment with make up and photoshop these pictures.

I must say it was pretty hard to make 'selfies' with the self timer, because the camera doesn't focus well on a white background. So, I had to use my feet at the place where I supposed to sit, so the camera and the self timer could be set.
I've made lots of pictures and the first ones failed, because I didn't used the right setting. I used the automatic program me and I can't remember what the shutter speed and aperture was. All I can remember is that the pictures were darker and gray. Then I used the manual exposure where I've put the aperture on F3.5, shutter speed 1/10, ISO 800. There was much more light, even without the desk lamp there was a lot of light. I like that in portrait pictures. The background was white but I've changed it into other colors. I've also used the app Snapseed and VSCO for lightning, contrast, filter and even more.

I know the pictures can be 'photoshopped' greater, but I'm an amateur who wants to experiment and become better in photography and modeling. I must say that it's pretty creative as these pictures were all taken in my little room!

If you have any advices for photoshop and photography, let me know in the comments! They are more than welcome :D.
