In winter, the time of nostalgia

In winter we stay longer at home. This favors memories and nostalgia. Nostalgia for sunny and hot summer days. We always want something that cannot be found at the time of desire.

In winter I miss flowers in the garden.

I remember the olden days when I could only have seasonal things. Fruits, flowers could hardly be found in winter. Now, when the world has become smaller, when the transport from one part of the world to the other has become trivial, it is no longer a problem to eat in the middle of winter tropical fruits.

I enjoy the flowers the most. I'm not talking about those growing up in the house. I'm thinking of flowers that disappear from the garden with the coming of winter.

Mostly I miss the roses!

I bought a bunch of roses from the Netherlands. The largest flower exporter in the world, as you know.

Beautiful roses! I can't help but try to take more pictures. I can't miss such a model.

Well, it looks better. Now that I have managed to alleviate the longing for roses, winter seems easier. I want the time to pass as quickly as I want spring-summer!

Because my roses in the garden are asleep now, but with spring the beauty begins!

I once initiated a challenge called SAM. Something About Me. I thought it was good for our readers to know more about us and to understand better what we are posting. Well, SAM is dead but I still think it would be in everyone's interest to get to know each other better. This is the reason for the short presentation below!

They are beautiful roses and you photographed them to look so lovely. Oh, the longings of spring! That usually happens with a harsh winter, but, today is 21C and so, I can say that winter has not hit yet. Oh, yes! I had a brief encounter with snow, but, it was gone in hours!

So where did our winter go? This is probably the most bizarre winter that I have experienced so far. No snow, no cold and no winter.
