Photography: "The Box", by Eric Kellerman

Eric Kellerman is an english academic who after his retirement in 2008 decides to devote himself to photography, in particular, art nude. He considers his work as distant, abstract and melancholic, to which I would add elegant and conceptual, and he usually does it entirely in study. Kellerman recognizes among his influences to surrealism and magical realism, what at first glance is not appreciated in his work, except in a very subtle and fine way.

"The Box: A typology of poses in a confined space", the photoset that concerns us today, is one of his most experimental and representative works. It is a collection of images taken from various models assuming a variety of poses in the confined space of a rectangular box. Although in all cases the models are naked, Kellerman takes great care of the aesthetics and good taste of his photographs, and at no time is a load of eroticism perceived in his work, prevailing instead the beauty of the aesthetics of the human figure and its expressive possibilities.

"The Box" is a living project that over time has grown to such an extent as to become a special edition of selected prints, accompanied by a booklet, whose packaging is obviously a wooden box that refers to the one used Kellerman as a confining space for this unique series of photographs that I present on this occasion.
