| No landscapes today, because I messed up the sensor in my camery when I tried to clean it. Lesson learned: Don't use a bike pump to clean your sensor! Now I have to wait for a proper cleaning kit, before I can take pictures with large mono-coloured areas. | Keine Landschaften heute, da ich beim Reinigen des Kamerasensors Mist gebaut habe. Man sollte wohl keine Fahrradpumpe benutzen, um den Sensor zu reinigen. Muß jetzt erstmal auf ordentliches Reinigungsmaterial warten, bevor ich wieder Aufnahmen von einfarbigen Flächen machen kann. |

| Went to the coast at around 10 a.m., the sun was shining & it was already pretty warm. Which is perhaps the reason that it was a rather crabby day. Last year, I saw very few crabs, but on Thursday, rather early in the year I found numerous small crabs pretty close to the car ferry port. But before I got to them, I found a number of rocks. Algae rocks. | War so um 10 Uhr an der Küste, die Sonne schien & es war schon recht warm. Weshalb es wahrscheinlich ein echter Krabbentag war. Letztes Jahr sah ich sehr wenige Krabben, aber Donnerstag, noch recht früh im Jahr, liefen mir in der Nähe des Fährhafens diverse kleine Krabben vor die Füße. Aber vorher fiel mein Auge auf einige algenbewachsene Steine. |

| For a change, I decided not to take photos of stones just because of the stone, but for the way algae grew on them. Noticed some nice patterns. The above features numerous little holes in which algae grow & the algae also seem to connect the holes. (Below the text are 2 more holy algae stones.) The one below prefers groovy algae. | Zur Abwechslung fotografierte ich die Steine nicht um der Steine willen, sondern wegen der darauf wachsenden Algen. Gab einige interessante Strukturen. Oben sieht man diverse kleine, algengefüllte Löcher, die auch durch Algenbewuchs verbunden sind. (Unter dem Text finden sich noch 2 löchrige Steine.) Der Stein direkt hier drunter zeigt sich algengefurcht. (Sorry, aber Wortspiele sind im Englischen etwas leichter.) |

| Also note, how many fleshy meat stones are around them. A very special one is in the picture below. 3 layers in green sandwiched between red, fleshy stuff. This one alone would be enough for me to tag this post for @shasta's #bouldersunday. | Man beachte auch die ganzen fleischigen Steine drumherum. | The next one was a proper rock (just from the size of it). It lay just in the zone where waves ran out. I made a little animated gif, but Esteem doesn't upload it. | Almost stepped on a little jumping spider. Luckily, I didn't. It was a very nice one with a white moustache. | Then I came to a metal structure, which probably had been some harbour building. It had 4 compartments, 2 of which had very shallow water. | Google's picture search is not as good as it once was. Couldn't find out which species it is. In the same pool was an open clamshell. It was too far away to get a clear picture, but I don't think that's how a healthy clam shell should look. It stayed open like that the whole time I was there. (Which was quite long. Got a quite severe sunburn.) | Googles Bildersuche ist leider auch nicht mehr, was sie mal war. Konnte die Spezies nicht herausfinden. Im gleichen Bereich fand sich auch eine offene Muschel. War zu weit weg für ein klares Bild, aber sieht doch nicht so aus, als sei das gesundes Muschelverhalten. Blieb die ganze Zeit (was recht lang war, fing mir einen heftigen Sonnenbrand ein) so offen da liegen. |

| That was, when I also noticed that there were many little crabs (probably marbled rock crabsAppreciate Beauty of Nature 13 although, as usual when taking pictures of crabs, my camera had problems with the proper focus).) around. Strangely, they were not as shy as usual. Therefore I could get some nice photos (I like the title pic enough to participate in @phortun's | Das war ungefähr der Zeitpunkt, zu dem ich die vielen Krabben bemerkte. Diese waren seltsamerweise nicht so scheu wie sonst. Daher konnte ich einige nette Fotos machen, auch wenn meine Kamera wie üblich Probleme hatte, auf Krabben zu fokussieren. |

| Some of the snails in the pool were interesting, because they were glowing in the sunlight. Don't think that having such bright spots on their shell is healthy, but there were quite a number of them. The photo doesn't really show how bright these spots look. | Einige der Schnecken in dem Pool waren interessant, weil sie im Sonnenlicht aufleuchteten. Gorgeous stones and such cute little crabs!
Lots of jasper there, have you seen any agates?
Sadly, I got distracted & forgot to take it with me. Shortly before, I had seen another interesting algae rock & couldn't find it anymore. & over the search, I forgot. (I have a very short short memory).
I'm not an expert. But some of the green ones are slightly translucent. Don't know whether that would count as agate, though.
