As promised in my misnumbered last post (for some stupid reason I subtracted 1 instead of adding), this one contains a bit more variation.	Wie in meinem letzten, fehlnumerierten Beitrag (dummerweise hatte ich 1 subtrahiert statt addiert) versprochen, gibt es heute etwas mehr Variation.

It was again rather late in the day in mid-February, but before I turned towards the coast, I rode southwards a bit. That's when I found this overgrown house:	War wieder mal ziemlich spät Mitte Februar, aber bevor ich mich der Küste zuwandte, fuhr ich erstmal südwärts. Wobei ich dieses überwachsene Haus fand:

The building didn't look that bad, but had obviously been abandoned quite a while ago. Hard to say how long ago, because the stuff that made the stairs its home, grows like wildfire. & the ivy could have overgrown much of it even before it was abandoned.	Das Gebäude sah gar nicht so schlecht aus, aber war anscheinend schon eine Weile unbewohnt. Schwer zu sagen, wie lange, da das Zeug, das die Treppe mit Beschlag belegt hatte, äußerst schnell wächst. & das Efeu kann auch schon zu bewohnten Zeiten einiges überwachsen haben.

OK, some renovation seems to be necessary, but overall I don't really understand why it was given up.	Nun gut, eine Renovierung wäre fällig, aber insgesamt verstehe ich nicht ganz, warum es verlassen wurde.

Particularly with a view like this:	Besonders mit einer solchen Aussicht:

The clouds were rolling over the Panachaiko. Not much rain would come out of that, though, perhaps with the exception of the mountain tops. Meanwhile, closer to the coast, the first sign of the upcoming street carnival was visible:	Die Wolken rollten über den Panachaiko. Viel Regen kam da nicht raus, vielleicht mit Ausnahme der Berggipfel. Währenddessen gab es näher an der Küste erste Zeichen des kommenden Straßenkarnevals:

At the coast near Monodendri, I visited one of the few sandy beaches here. Much of it was covered in washed-up sea grass. Looked quite nice, but doesn't really show in the photos.	An der Küste nahe Monodendri besuchte ich einen der wenigen Sandstrände hier. Der größte Teil davon war von angeschwemmtem Seegras bedeckt. Sah recht nett aus, aber kommt auf den Fotos nicht so recht raus.

The sea grass heaps were around half a meter high. Had never seen so much before. (There is some company in Patras which uses sea grass to produce smartphone covers. Which might be the reason for that.)	Die Seegrashaufen waren um die 50cm hoch. Hatte nie vorher soviel gesehen. (Es gibt in Patras eine Firma, die aus Seegras Smartphonehüllen produziert. Vielleicht deswegen.)

That was only a small part of the coast, though. A bit further south, there was not so much sea grass & more sand.	Das war aber nur ein kleiner Teil der Küste. Etwas weiter südlich gab es nicht soviel Seegras & mehr Sand.

On sea, while the sun was going down, my favourite little fishing boat showed up.	Auf See zeigte sich mein Lieblingsfischerboot, während die Sonne unterging.

It was a bit farther out than usual, though. Which you can see on the next image which shows the wider scenery:	War etwas weiter draußen als üblich. Was man auf dem nächsten Bild, das einen weiteren Ausschnitt zeigt, sehen kann:

But with the tele zoom lens, it was still possible to make some nice photos of it with the sunset horizon. Wasn't sure which one to use for the title picture. The next one was a close second:	Mit dem Telezoom konnte man jedoch trotzdem nette Bilder vom Boot im Sonnenuntergang machen. War nicht sicher, welches ich als Titelbild nutzen sollte. Dieses landete knapp auf dem 2. Platz:

Some small clouds were in the sky. I liked this one in particular, when it was lit up by the setting sun:	Einige Wölkchen waren am Himmel. Mir gefiel diese, besonders als sie im Abendrot leuchtete:

After the sun was gone, I turned my attention to the ground. In that area you sometimes find some interesting shells. But perhaps because of the sea grass, I didn't find many. What I found, though, was this strange combination:	Nachdem die Sonne weg war, richtete ich meine Aufmerksamkeit auf den Boden. In der Gegend findet man manchmal interessante Muschelschalen. Aber viele fand ich diesmal nicht, vielleicht wegen des Seegrases. Fand jedoch diese interessante Kombination:

Something which looks like a hair band wrapped around some plant material. More normal than this, an opened snail shell:	Sieht aus wie ein Haarband, das sich um Pflanzenfasern gewickelt hatte. Etwas normaler war der Anblick dieses geknackten Schneckenhauses:

Then there was another rather strange find:	Dann gab es wieder einen seltsameren Fund:

At first I wasn't sure what it was. Until I recognised it as some kind of molar. Looked a bit too big for a human, but I don't know much about teeth. Definitely seems a bit too worn for comfort.	War zuerst nicht sicher, was es sein könnte. Bis ich dann erkannte, daß es eine Art Backenzahn war. Sah zu groß für einen Menschen aus, aber von Zähnen verstehe ich nix. Schien aber definitiv zu abgenutzt zu sein.

Finally, I found 2 clam shells. The 1st one in particular looks nice.	Zum Schluß fand ich dann doch noch 2 Muschelschalen. Besonders die 1. sieht hübsch aus:

But that was it for the coast. When it got dark I went home. On the way back, another ikonostasia (or proskinitaria) caught my eye:	Aber das war's dann mit der Küste. Es wurde dunkel & ich fuhr nach Hause. Auf dem Rückweg kam ich wieder an einer Ikonostasia vorbei:

This one was obviously put up by someone with a liking for plants. Inside were the usual paraphernalia.	Diese wurde offensichtlich von jemandem mit großer Pflanzenliebe aufgestellt. Darin befanden sich die üblichen Heiligkeiten.
