My Sister Took This Photo Of Me Last Week

in #photography7 years ago

When my sister was in town, she took a few portraits of me for her travel series that we was putting together. She sent this one over to me and posted the following on Facebook when she shared it on there:

Had a chance to test out my new lens while roaming Laguna with this guy right here. I'd be lying if I said even after 25 years - being his sister isn't the most fun thing ever.

I just felt like I'd share this with you guys as well!

Have a wonderful rest of your day!

A good photographer knows how to capture naturality and she totally did. Very nice photo!

So, that's how you look like up close, @brendanwenzel. You've been imprinted in my mind. So, if I run into you at the airport or in a coffee shop, don't be surprised if I come up and give you a hug! :)

Can't wait! :)

Your sister did an amazing job on this portrait, she must be a talented photographer. I am curious about the lighting, did she light you with strobes and a soft box, or a reflector bouncing sunlight up onto your face. I am guessing you are standing in shade and a gold reflector is being used to light your face?

Cheers,
@kellyjanderson

All natural lighting. The sun was bouncing up off the sidewalk.

Cool, I was sure it was a bounce, but impressed that there was enough bounce off of the sidewalk to light your face so well.

I'm guessing that it was in the late afternoon before the sunset?
