Hey, peeps, this is the third and final installment of my mini series on the Etropolski Balkan, as it is known in Bulgarian. It is a beautiful place in the Balkan Mountains, quite near Sofia, but with much cleaner air :D You can find the first two in the series here and here. Hope you like!
This sheet of birch bark was too intriguing to pass up ...
And this may be a bit hard to see, but it is a rock with strange furrows, as if carved into it:
Clear evidence of Bigfoot activity ;)
Birches and Ferns ...
The sun is hiding from our dark :o
Over hill and dale ...
The gorgeous Balkans ...
Well, I hope you enjoyed the journey. Stay tuned for more posts, soon!
Ciao за now!
really enjoyed this series :)
Thanks, tat!
Most welcome
:) Can you tell me what you liked about it? Which pics are your faves?
sures it a tough call but lets see, the last shot really catches my eye that view and the clouds almost give a magical feel to it
Thank you, sir :) Glad you like it!
Last I went there in 1984 ... I hope to go back to this part of the Balkans in spring!
Let's make the trip together :)
"The sun is hiding from our dark"...poetic. Reminds me of a place I was long ago. :)
Lovely post, Brent. I especially like the birch bark.
It may remind you of my Beijing Zoo poem.
Разбира се. Точно така!
;)
I think I remember someone attempting to pluck that one green leaf.
